Zumbalé: This dance is considered a variation of the son montuno and is still danced in the peasant festivities of the Red and Blue Bands in Majagua, Ciego de Avila province. A soloist couple performs it imitating the robbery of a chicken by the girl, with the only purpose of attracting the man.

Zunzún: Artistic projection in the Red and Blue Band festivity in Majagua, Ciego de Avila province. Children in couples that dance separated from each other perform it. The flight of this very small Cuban bird is mimicked. Children try to hit the bird with stones, really using small pieces of fruit peel. This dance dates back from the second half of the 19th century.
